Jumping Brook Country Club Wedding in NJ

Jumping Brook Country Club Wedding by Sydney Madison Creative

One of the biggest reasons I love being a photographer, is that I oftentimes get to photograph people that I know or grew up with! This made Kristi and Kevin’s Jumping Brook Country Club wedding extra special because I went to high school with Kristi and her bridesmaids. We also played high school soccer together!

I photographed this wedding day solo, so Kristi’s Maid of Honor, Nicole, and bridesmaid, Casey, helped me hang their dresses at the start of the day for detail shots. They were the best!

After I finished photographing details, I took Kristi, her bridesmaids, and moms outside. They popped open a bottle of champagne and toasted to the day ahead! When Kristi’s hair and makeup was all ready, she shared the sweetest getting ready moment with her mom as she helped her into her dress.

Next up was Kristi’s first look with her bridesmaids! There were lots of happy tears shed amongst the girls and their reactions were so sweet.

Once I finished up with Kristi, I headed over to begin Kevin’s getting ready photos. He got ready alongside his Best Man and brother, Daniel, and his parents. Then I took a few quick groom portraits of Kevin before it was time for his first look with Kristi!

I got Kevin in place for their first look, and then Kristi arrived. She was so excited to see him and they both had the biggest smiles on their faces! After their first look reactions, we took bride and groom portraits by the golf course, followed by under a willow tree. The willow tree photos are my favorite! They look so creamy and romantic with the light streaming in between the tree’s hanging branches.

After a quick golf cart ride over to where their bridesmaids and groomsmen were waiting, we started wedding party portraits. Kristi and her bridesmaids have been friends since they were little, so we did a ton of bridesmaid photos with them. They had such a loving and playful energy together! Next up was family formals!

Kristi and Kevin’s ceremony took place on the country club’s deck, overlooking the beautiful golf courses. They had a unique sideways aisle, which was so neat to see! Kristi walked down the aisle with her mom and it had everyone in tears. I have never felt more emotion at a wedding than I did that day. It was absolutely beautiful to witness. But once Kristi and Joe had their first kiss, the energy completely changed and it was time to party!

During cocktail hour, I walked around and talked to so many people that I went to high school with. It was great getting to see everyone and capture them celebrating this sweet couple!

Their reception space had a lovely all-white theme with lots of greenery and cute personal details like the couple’s heart guestbook and more!

As the reception started, Kristi and Kevin’s bridal party entered and created a tunnel for them to run through! They went straight into their first dance, followed by parent dances. Kristi did a choreographed dance with her mom and Kevin and his mom had a classic mother-son dance together next.

When the DJ opened up the dancefloor, their guests went crazy in the best way! They were all so excited to get moving! Kristi’s bridesmaid, Casey, was an absolute dancing queen! After lots of fun partying, I finished out the night with Kristi and Kevin’s cake cutting photos. I’m so grateful that Kristi and Kevin asked me to capture their beautiful country club wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Gaul!
