NYC Skyline Wedding at Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ

9/3/23

The night before Brittany and David’s wedding, my best friend, Alexis, and I checked into our hotel in Jersey City. We decided to stay at the same hotel as the couple and their guests so that we could sleep in and be fully rested before starting off the wedding day! Alexis joined me as my assistant and she was SUCH a huge help! I absolutely loved having my bestie there with me to lend a helping hand wherever needed.

We started the day by heading up to Brittany’s bridal suite to begin her getting ready photos. I loved how chill the vibes were there. All of Brittany’s bridesmaids were so relaxed and simply enjoying being there in the moment! We photographed Brittany’s details and got her dressed before then heading to Liberty House for pre-ceremony bridesmaids photos, family formals, and bridals!

Meanwhile, my second shooter joined David and his groomsmen in his suite to photograph his details, getting ready moments, and some fun cheers photos! Then they made their way to Liberty House as well for wedding party and family photos.

As guests started to trickle into the ceremony, the wedding party and wedding VIPs headed into hiding. We took this time to capture the ceremony space details. Brittany and David’s ceremony had the most beautiful view of the city skyline as their backdrop!

As Brittany was walking down the aisle, her reaction to seeing David was so cute! She was so happy to see him that she didn’t know how to handle her emotions. She was crying and laughing at the same time, which was so sweet!

After reciting their vows together and sealing it with a kiss, they headed back up the aisle where they stopped at the end to capture an epic shot of all of their guests smiling at the camera together!

As their guests headed into cocktail hour, Brittany and David were joined by their families and wedding party for portraits. I am totally obsessed with how all of their portraits turned out! I still can’t get over how stunning the city skyline view was!

After we finished up their newlywed portraits, we were so ahead of schedule! Brittany and David were able to take some time to relax together and enjoy their first moments as being husband and wife! They also got to enjoy cocktail hour snacks, which is a huge bonus!

Fun Fact: I had what I think was the BEST empanada ever there… I’m honestly still thinking about it!

At their reception, Brittany and David did a cute little dance for their introduction. Their DJ was the best ever, and made sure to keep me in the loop with everything that was going on.

Later on in the evening, we took Brittany and David outside for some nighttime portraits. As if the view didn’t already look magical enough, the city’s night lights lit up the skyline even more!

Brittany and David’s wedding was the best way to end the holiday weekend and I’m so happy I got to have Alexis there with me! She was such a huge help! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Santos!
