Fall Engagement Session w. Pumpkin Heads | Sarah & Angelo

Fall Pumpkin Engagement by Sydney Madison Creative

With Halloween just around the corner, I am super excited to share Sarah and Angelo’s fall engagement session, complete with spooky pumpkin heads! These two absolutely love Halloween and autumn. They even watch scary movies year round! So when Sarah and Angelo told me they wanted their engagement photos to be different and unique, I was so on board! We had talked about this idea together for weeks!

We met up that the boat launch at Wawayanda State Park and walked the trail a little before starting photos. The fall leaves were almost at peak colors, so the trees looked extra beautiful! At the beginning of their engagement session, we took traditional, cute couples photos. Then we switched to pumpkin head photos for the second half! Wawayanda has such a beautiful lake and lots of great photo locations, like the dock and the wooded trails.

Keeping on theme with their love of Halloween, Sarah and Angelo’s favorite saying together is “Till death do us part.”, which is so perfectly on brand with them. I had a blast getting to know these two better during their fall engagement session, especially hearing their ring story! When Sarah and Angelo went out to look at engagement rings together, Sarah originally wanted something simple. Although, when she saw the more intricate band of her ring, she immediately said that it was the one! Angelo went back a few months later to purchase the ring, but they had discontinued the line! So he went on the hunt to multiple stores and finally got the last one available for his future bride! So sweet.

This session has me even more excited now to photograph Sarah and Angelo’s fall Perona Farms wedding next year on October 31st. I can’t wait! Fingers crossed that the pumpkin heads will maybe make a comeback at the wedding too!
