Mountain View Wedding | Brittany & Christopher | Walpack Inn

The wedding I have been waiting all year for!! Truth be told, I get excited for every wedding I have, but this one was at a new venue. I attended their launch event last year and fell in love with the grounds! The Walpack Inn has so much history, they opened in 1949. You can read more about their history and why it’s such a famous and beloved restaurant here: The Walpack Inn. With having such beautiful grounds, they wanted to do more and share more with the community. Jim Darco’s two daughters, Jenny and Lara, decided to take on the task of hosting weddings on their beautiful property. I am so glad they did!

The Wedding Day

Upon arriving at the venue I met up with Brittany and her girls in the bridal suite. The bridal suite was absolute perfection, it overlooked the entire venue. It was a rustic suite with wood details everywhere, exactly what I envision my house looking like someday! I started the day with their details of course, and these ended up being some of my favorite details shots I have ever taken. Once details were complete, it was time to get Brittany dressed before their first look!

The bridal suite space allowed for some great getting ready photos. Brittany got dressed with her mom and her MOH, who is also her cousin. We captured every moment from the morning, her getting into her dress, getting jewelry on, her perfume, and reading the letter Chris wrote her. Brittany couldn’t stop laughing, he really makes her giggle!

We got Chris into place for the first look and let these two have their moment. It is so obvious how much they adore and love each other. They took every moment to say “I love you” throughout the day, which was so sweet. The Walpack Inn had some of the most beautiful portrait locations; I was in heaven! I could have had them taking portraits all day.

After a short break we went right into the wedding party, family formals and then the ceremony! Their ceremony location had the most beautiful mountain backdrop. I think this is my favorite thing about the Walpack Inn. They allow for adventurous and outdoorsy couples to have the mountain wedding of their dreams, without having their guests take a hike to arrive. Brittany and Chris are avid hikers and outdoorsy people though, so this venue was perfect for them.

We took some post-ceremony sunset photos and they were a literal dream! I can’t get over the couple and the scenery. The wildflowers were at peak and just stunning to look at! I cannot wait to share more from this gorgeous wedding.

Brittany & Christopher thank you for inviting me to document your love story and your marriage!!
