To say I fell in love with this venue throughout the course of Elissa and Mike’s wedding day is a total understatement. Stoltzfus Homestead stole my heart the second I stepped on the property. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS! Pair the natural beauty of the venue with all of the incredible details Elissa put together for their big day and you have a match made in heaven.
Their Wedding Day at Stoltzfus Homestead
Elissa and Michael’s wedding was my second of the weekend. On my way to the venue that morning, I saw so many horse and buggies on the road. That’s something I don’t usually see in New Jersey, so it was super cool to witness!
I started out the morning with Elissa, capturing some getting ready moments and details. Then I met up with Michael outside, where he put on final touches with the help of a family member.
An Intimate Experience
Elissa and Michael did things a little differently than usual, and really honed in on making their wedding day an intimate experience, which I loved! They opted for no wedding party and Elissa didn’t have a bridal bouquet. This really allowed the beautiful and intricate details on her wedding dress shine through!
Ceremony
One little touch that I loved, was that Elissa and Michael had their immediate families join them as they signed their wedding license. It was such a cute moment and they even had a custom floral wedding license! Afterwards, they put it on display in the ceremony space. Such a great idea!
Cocktail Hour & Reception
It was very important to Elissa and Michael that they found a venue with lots of outdoor locations and opportunities. They both love spending time in the outdoors and have a shared passion of saving the earth!
After their ceremony, cocktail hour took place outside of the great barn, overlooking the property and the big silo. They had a beverage and grazing table set up in the area for their guests, as well as some lawn games and their gift table. Everything was styled so beautifully!
Inside the Grand Barn, their reception was decorated in the same farmhouse fashion, but with lots of greenery and white florals in clear bud vases! They even had a unique upward cascading vine wall right behind their sweetheart table. I loved how simple all the details were for their wedding day. It really shows how you don’t need a lot of florals or decor to have a beautiful wedding!
Elissa and Michael spent the rest of their wedding day with their closest friends and family, enjoying good food, drinks and dancing! They finally closed out the night with a s’mores station, firepit, and cute matching bride and groom loungewear.
Congratulations Elissa and Michael!
