Fall Farm Wedding Photography at Greendell Dressage in Newton, NJ

Rachel and Cowen’s fall farm wedding at Greendell Dressage in New Jersey was a photographer’s dream. The picturesque setting, with its rustic charm and vibrant autumn backdrop, provided the perfect canvas for capturing their love and joy. Rachel and Cowen both got ready at a beautiful and cozy Airbnb. We made sure to keep them separate though,so as not to spoil their first look!

Next, we headed to the venue, Greendell Dressage, a horse farm and equestrian center that also hosts weddings. We set up Cowen for their first look and as soon as Rachel arrived, the emotions were flowing. Their first moment together was sweet, tearful, and full of love. After capturing some portraits in the gorgeous fall farm setting, they shared private vows.

I had a blast with Rachel and Cowen’s wedding party—they were hilarious and kept me laughing the entire time. The colors of their suits and dresses were perfect for fall, and I loved how everything tied together. The fall floral color palette was everything. The florals were rich with deep oranges, burgundies, and taupe and champagne tones, perfectly reflecting the autumn season. The bouquets were full of texture and vibrant color. As a photographer, capturing that vibrant mix against the soft autumn backdrop was an absolute dream. The ceremony, set against the farm’s natural beauty, was followed by the Bury the Bourbon tradition—a fun way to ensure good weather, captured in joyful moments with friends and family.

Afterward, we headed to cocktail hour and the reception, held outdoors under a tent. The real magic happened when I snuck Rachel and Cowen away for some sunset wedding portraits during the reception. The light was nothing short of spectacular as it dipped behind the farm’s landscape, creating a dreamy golden glow. We wandered through the meadow for a few quiet moments. It was the perfect way to step away from the hustle of the evening and give the couple a chance to savor the beauty of their day, just the two of them.
