Porta Asbury Park Wedding Photography in NJ

Krysta and Kenny’s Porta Asbury Park wedding in NJ was so unique and out-of-the-box and I’m totally obsessed! After eloping earlier in the year, they opted to have an intimate (but super energetic!) micro wedding at Porta in Asbury Park. They wanted the day to really embody who they are, so they added lots of touches that were meaningful to them. These two LOVE pizza, so Porta was a natural choice for them to make, as it is a pizza restaurant that also hosts weddings. Krysta and Kenny even have matching pizza tattoos that they got after eloping, commemorating their love of the slice! Porta has some of the the best pizza (K+K were the BEST and sent me home with a whole pizza at the end of the night)!

We started out the day together with getting ready photos and their first look on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. Just after finishing up family photos and some portraits on the beach, the couple stopped at a pretzel shop on the boardwalk for a snack! This was such a fun, candid moment to photograph on their wedding day.

Once we were all done with portraits, Krysta and Kenny made their introductions into the reception space, as they opted to forgo a ceremony. Their guests were so pumped to see the couple and the partying commenced! Porta has such a cool and funky event space (called the Abbott Room), with moody dark walls, quirky animal portraits, and disco balls hanging from the ceiling. It’s such a vibe! This venue is perfect for couples looking for a non-traditional wedding venue and epic, moody wedding photos.
