Olivia & Ohrun | September 19th, 2024
Olivia and Orhun’s wedding day at The Conservatory was truly unforgettable. Every time I look back at their photos, I am so proud of how beautiful, creative, and authentic they feel. The whole day was full of loving, playful energy between this amazing couple and their loved ones who joined them.
Getting Ready Moments
The morning of the wedding was absolutely perfect. Olivia and her bridesmaids had the cutest PJs from Etsy. I have never seen this style before and I loved it! Olivia’s wedding colors were blue and white, which is one of my favorite color schemes lately. Blue, especially, is becoming one of my favorite bridesmaid colors. Her bridal details were so stunning and I had so much fun putting together her flat lay photos.
To kick off the day, Olivia and her bridesmaids headed outside to take some champagne toast photos. This was the BEST way to start the morning and her girls had such a blast sipping bubbly in their custom coupe glasses. Do you see the cute little blue ribbons? They even have their names on them! Olivia killed it with the details!
We cannot forget about the furry addition to the morning though! Turbo, Olivia and Orhun’s dog, joined in on the fun. He got ready with the girls and even snagged a few portraits with Olivia before she changed into her dress.
After Olivia got dressed with the help of her mom and sister, she headed outside for a first look with her dad. Her dad had the best smile ever (I teared up a bit) and you could tell he was so excited to see his little girl! Meanwhile, my second shooter captured Ohrun’s groom details and Turbo’s “best dog” details. Just before the couple’s first look, Orhun got some getting ready photos and his mom helped him put on his boutonniere.
First Look
Right after her first look with her dad at The Conservatory, we hid Olivia away to get Orhun in place for their first look. Olivia was so excited to see her man! When Orhun turned around to see Olivia in her dress, he had the perfect reaction!
The love these two share is unreal. Orhun is truly in awe of Olivia. All throughout the day, I would catch him looking at her and he’d always say, “I can’t believe she is mine.” They are both so bubbly and we had so much fun with their portraits! Olivia was down for anything I suggested, so we got super playful and silly during her bridals. My favorites are the ones where she’s playing with her veil. I love them!
Wedding Party Portraits
Once we finished up their bride and groom portraits, Olivia and Orhun’s wedding party joined us in front of The Conservatory’s gazebo for group shots. Their bridal party was so much fun and had great energy! This honestly might be my favorite set of wedding party photos I’ve ever taken. The bridesmaids even had parisols that they pulled out for some shots! I was obsessed.
The Ceremony
The ceremony decor was drop dead gorgeous, with blue and white florals and greenery in blue Delft pottery vases. Olivia’s dad officiated the ceremony and he loved every second of it! The entire ceremony was so sweet. Olivia and Orhun’s vows had everyone crying. Turbo greeted them during their vows and stood beneath them the whole time! If you look closely in their dip kiss photo you can even see Turbo following Olivia and Ohrun as they exited up the aisle. He just really wanted to be involved in this special moment with his parents!
Newlywed Sunset Portraits
Olivia and Orhun got to enjoy a big portion of their cocktail hour and then we did some sunset portraits around the wildflowers and greenhouse. This is one of my favorite spots at The Conservatory! We got so many great shots and I played around with some motion blur and grain for a vintage feel!
The Reception Reveal
We headed inside the reception room for Olivia and Ohrun’s reveal. Olivia said that her vision was captured perfectly. Just before guests were let into the reception space, Olivia and Ohrun practiced their first dance and sparks were literally flying!
The Party!
When it was time for Olivia and Ohrun to do their reception intro, their guests were screaming for them! This was probably the most energetic group I have ever had and it was amazing! The dancefloor was insane the whole night, but in the BEST way. Olivia had a fun dance with her dad, which they had been practicing for a while and Ohrun shared a sweet dance with his mom.
Later in the evening, Olivia changed into a short dress and they surprised their guests with a jitterbug dance! It was so cool and unique; I especially loved all of the lifts!
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Varol (& Turbo!) <3
