Today we have a super fun NJ engagement session, jam-packed with activities for the perfect date day! When I first started planning Alison and Ethan’s engagement session with them, they told me that they wanted to do multiple locations to document some of their favorite things. They are both very active and Ethan loves playing basketball, so we started off their session at a basketball court! Alison and Ethan shot hoops for a while and we got so many good action shots, plus some playful and cuddly photos in between games.
The next location we headed to was The Drowned Lands, a new brewery in the area. Alison and Ethan love exploring breweries together, so this was a must do for their engagement session! They grabbed a couple of beers from the bar and hung out in different parts of the brewery. Afterwards they headed outside next to a super cool patio with a feature wall of logs.
Alison and Ethan love breweries so much that after Ethan proposed to Alison in Elfreth’s Alley, Philadelphia’s oldest street, they headed to a local Philly brewery where fifty of their friends and family were waiting to celebrate their engagement with them!
The third and final location of Alison and Kevin’s engagement sesson was the gorgeous Wawayonda State Park. They wanted to channel more romantic vibes at this location and their outfits were so cute! I loved Alison’s dress so much! They were so adorable with each other the whole day, which made taking their photos so much fun! Their first date together was actually at Wissahickon trail in Philly, so this location felt very reminescent of that!
We actually had to reschedule their session initially because of the weather, so it was serendipitous that the moment we finished shooting and got into our cars, clouds rolled into the sky and a huge storm started! I even had the fun little surprise of coming home to no power after this session due to the storm. What a great way to end the day though, by lighting a candle and listening to the rain!
