Staci and Sami’s Punta Cana, Dominican Republic destination wedding at Dreams Dominicus La Romana resort was the perfect blend of tropical beauty and meaningful cultural traditions. As a New Jersey wedding photographer, I’m always honored to travel for love stories like theirs — especially when they’re as vibrant and heartfelt as this one.
Their celebration began with a touching nod to the groom’s family heritage at the rehearsal dinner, where Staci (the bride), wore a traditional dimije to honor Sami’s Albanian roots. This fun and meaningful tradition set the tone for a weekend filled with family, culture, and lots of joy.
The classic and clean white color scheme beautifully contrasted with the resort’s lush greens and the bright blue water. We took lots of portraits within the resort, nestled around the palm leaves and tropical flora. Their ceremony was as jaw-dropping as you’d expect. A dreamy ceremony arbor was set directly in front of the crystal clear, turquoise beach with palm trees framing the scene. One of my favorite moments was during the dancing of the valle, a beloved Albanian dance. Staci carried a gorgeous wedding pouch as she, Sami, and their guests danced together in a circle. The energy on the dance floor was pure magic!
