The day of Lexi and Chandler’s engagement session at Asbury Beach was absolutely gorgeous. The sky was so clear and the water looked almost turquoise as waves crashed along the beach. Lexi and Chandler’s favorite things to do together are hiking, watching new TV shows, and spending time with their dog, Gus. So it made perfect sense that they wanted to include their pup in their engagement photos! My friend Alexis came along to assist me for their session and she held onto Gus whenever he was taking a break from photos.
We started Lexi and Chandler’s session at Asbury Beach. It was so much fun walking along the sand, chatting with these two and getting to know each other better. It was Gus’s first time on the beach, so he didn’t quite understand what sand was. He kept rolling around in it like a worm. He had us all laughing hysterically!
Next we headed over to the jetty for a few shots on the rocks. These turned out so cool and dramatic. I LOVED it! For the second half of the photoshoot we went up to the Asbury boardwalk. Lexi was super excited about the artwork on the boardwalk buildings, so we got some shots of them in front of her favorite murals and the historic Convention Hall!
Fun Fact: Before the session, Alexis and I headed to Asbury Beach early to grab dinner at Porta, a pizza restaurant where I photographed an intimate wedding in September! It was super nice getting to scope out the restaurant before that wedding day.
