The holidays are almost here and I’m so looking forward to spending some time with friends and family. So it felt like the perfect time to showcase this amazing Long Branch beach engagement session with my friend Staci! I’ve known Staci forever! We grew up together playing soccer and share our mutual friend Gabby (my BFF). We were all super close in high school and I have such great memories with these ladies. When Staci got engaged to her fiancé, Sami, she reached out about an engagement session. I was super excited to document this milestone for her!
The Session
Staci and Sami are getting married in the Dominican Republic next year, (which I will also photographing!) so they wanted a beachy theme for their engagement session. Long Branch, NJ is such a stunning beach town and was the perfect spot for their beach engagement photos! Their session was actually supposed to be done earlier in June, but the wildfire smoke made us reschedule.
Before the day of the session, I was actually a little nervous, since I had never met Sami before, but he was beyond nice! We ended up driving down to the shore together, and headed straight for the beach. The beach had a small section with no one else there, which was super lucky! I really felt like I could be so creative during this session. Since I knew Staci already, I was excited to try new poses and prompts, which turned out SO good! I am absolutely obsessed with how their photos turned out and I can’t get over how perfect these two are for each other. I am so glad that Staci found the man of her dreams and that I get to photograph their love story! After their session, we even met up with our friends Jenna and Mike for dinner. What a perfect day!
